It's the New Black, produced entirely by teens, introduces the modern perspective of young adults from throughout the world to an international audience. The magazine is available online, and is printed and distributed locally in Columbus, Ohio. It's the New Black stands for diversity, creativity, authenticity and individuality. Our purpose is to provide a global community for young writers to explore and express their talents in an international conversation.
How To Post & How To Submit
It’s the New Black runs on your submissions. The publication includes all genres, so send us something from whatever your personal writing niche is, or try out a new genre. Here’s how to get your writing published:
a. Post on the ITNB site by pasting your submission into the provided space under the “Submit” tab.
b. Email us your compositions for publication at Submissions.ITNB@gmail.com
(Don’t be afraid to submit the same work to the blog or publication!)
4. Wait for an email confirming that we received your composition.
We will publish your piece to this blog as a post (if it fits the guidelines), and if we choose it as a piece that we would like to include in our print magazine, you will be notified as well.
We do not retain the rights to publication.
While we value personal opinions, the staff of It’s the New Black does not tolerate hatespeech or harassment. We hold the right to deny submissions that do not follow these guidelines at our discretion.
